In this image, you can see three dogs, all with brown spots on them, drinking from a pot that has water inside. They seem to be on top of a table, hinting at the fact they are small and most likely puppies, and there are three blue goblets directly in front of them. Next to the goblets are circular items that seem to be holding the goblets down to the table, and in front of the goblets is a bowl full of fruit and fruits outside of the bowl. The tablecloth, which has a pattern of leaves and flowers randomly placed around, seems to be bunching up around the other…

“Martin, Into the Corner, You Should Be Ashamed of Yourself” is a sculpture by Martin Kippenberger created in 1992. The sculpture depicts a boy named Martin standing in the corner with his hands behind his back, his head and shoulders pointed down, wearing a white button up dress shirt with the globe on it, red suspenders, blue jeans, and a dark brown pair of shoes. The Martin from the sculpture is most likely the artist himself as they both share the same name. Martin may be depicting a memory he had from his childhood where he committed a bad action and was told to go to the corner by his…

The art piece, Hope II by artist Gustav Klimt depicts a pregnant woman, likely in her third trimester of pregnancy, as she bends forward slightly towards her pregnancy belly. Her facial expression shows one of sorrow and concern as though she is in deep thought and preparing herself for a painful or upsetting outcome.A skull peers out from behind her belly in the place where the baby’s head would be. This skull is seemingly emphasized as its tints of green and blue stand out from the glittery gold background and the red, yellow, and orange colored robes. The robes themselves are made up of a combination of intricate designs and…

This photograph, titled, “The Orchard” by artist Clarence Hudson White, depicts three women in a field of leaves and small fruit who are fixated on their surroundings. A tree, outstretched in the background, extends its branches and offers its fruit to the two short haired women dressed in similar dark gowns. One woman reaches upwards, while the other behind her is caught in a moment of contemplation. The third woman in the image’s foreground, dressed in the darkest long-sleeved blouse and light linen skirt, has her long hair up in a ponytail. She sits and crouches over to pick a small, round fruit off the ground. The print itself is…

In Ai Weiwei’s piece “Study of Perspective – Hong Kong”, a person is seen flipping off a view of the Hong Kong skyline. The photograph is black and white, cutting out all color (and life) from the piece. His hand with the middle finger is extremely visible in the center, blurring the background and taking the place of the subject of the photograph. His hand is light and has distinct texture and lines as it takes up a large portion of the image. In the background, I can see part of the Hong Kong skyline. There are tall buildings and skyscrapers, although they appear slightly out of focus compared to…

The picture with the name Still Life with Three Puppies by the artist Paul Gauguin, at first instance, portrays some fruits in the foreground of it. As the image creates the sense of depth, three chalices are in the Middle ground of the picture and the. To complete the picture, Gauguin painted three puppies feeding on the same pot on the ground. In the painting there are three main elements, that depending on the spectator’s interpretation they could say that the puppies are at the top of the picture, or they are in background of the picture. Even though the main elements are highly notable, the painter also hid some…

Washerwomen Washerwomen by Paul Gaugin shows several women bent over by a riverbank appearing to be washing their clothes. Standing to the left, a woman appears to be holding white sheets and at her feet, there is a pile of clothes supposedly waiting to be washed. The women are wearing plain blouses and skirts of muted colors, as well as white and blue head coverings. Across from the river, there is a grass meadow consisting of shades of warm greens and yellows, depicting a peaceful rural environment. The figures’ dull tones contrasts the vibrant colors of the grass meadow and hills, which allows me to focus more on the lower…

Cat Litter by Robert Gober shows a large (10 lb/4.54 kg) upright rectangular-shaped bag with a wide base and slight crumples, designed for sale exclusively for people who own a cat. The phrase “PRODUCED 3D2-9-89” represents a production code or date. The bag is mostly white, with a vibrant red strip coupled with a yellow and green stylized pinwheel design, with each blade looking slightly triangular with curved edges that are opposite each other. In addition, the brand name “FINE FARE” is written in black letters, highlighted in bright yellow, above a picture of a cute kitten. The kitten is the most detailed and colorful part of the design, placed…

In this image, I can see a man who is dressed nicely in a suit sitting on a nice black leather couch on a New York City street corner. There also seems to be a pile of black trash bags that surrounds the couch. The man has a posture that looks like he is in a calm state or he is posing in a calm manner for a photo. I can see in the background there is an Exxon gas Station and an older-style black car. This picture is also in the setting of a regular New York street as I can see people walking in the background of the…
